Privacy policy

What we collect

Standard server logs — IP address, browser user agent, requested page, timestamp — kept for security and troubleshooting. We do not ask for, or store, accounts, names or email addresses.

We plan to add Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic; when we do, it will set cookies and you will be able to opt out with Google’s browser add-on. Until then there is no analytics tag on this site at all.

What your browser stores

Your filter selections on the catalog page are saved in your browser’s sessionStorage so that returning from a camera page keeps your filters. That never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is cleared when you close the tab. Your filters are also mirrored into the page URL so a filtered view can be shared or bookmarked.

Advertising and affiliate links

There are none. This site carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no retailer links of any kind, and nothing on it earns a commission. No third-party advertising or attribution cookies are set. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

Third-party links

The specs reference page links out to a handful of standards bodies and manufacturers for further reading. Once you leave this site their privacy policies apply, not ours.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
