Rove stops upscaling with the Dual Pro. The front camera is an 8-megapixel Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 whose native output really is 3840x2160, and the rear is a 5MP STARVIS 2 IMX675 at 2560x1440 - the same sensor pairing Viofo and BlackVue use in cameras at this price. The lenses are Rove's usual wide ones, 150 degrees front and 140 rear, so the front resolves about 26 horizontal pixels per degree, a little behind the 140-degree 4K cameras but comfortably in the top tier. An f/1.5 front aperture is faster than most of that tier. A 128GB card and a CPL filter are both in the box, Wi-Fi 6 runs on 5GHz, and the power system is a supercapacitor. What Rove still does not publish is an operating-temperature range, which on a camera this expensive is an odd gap, and there is no voice control.

The front camera records 3,840 horizontal pixels across a published 150-degree field of view, which is 25.6 pixels per degree — plate-legible at distance. The rear channel manages 18.3, so it is the less detailed of the two. How this is calculated, and what it does not tell you.
